Role Overview
As a Software Tester / Senior Software Tester, you will ensure the delivery of high-quality, stable, and reliable software solutions. You will lead testing efforts across multiple projects by preparing test plans, executing tests, identifying defects, and verifying resolutions.
Your work will directly contribute to improving user experience, enhancing product performance, and ensuring system stability.
Key Responsibilities
Understand project requirements and define detailed test scenarios.
Prepare test strategies, test plans, and test cases for manual and automated testing.
Conduct functional, regression, performance, usability, and compatibility testing.
Identify, accurately document, and prioritize defects in the bug tracking system.
Collaborate with developers to troubleshoot and validate defect resolutions.
Participate actively in sprint planning, stand-ups, and requirement walkthroughs.
Track software quality metrics and prepare test execution status reports.
Ensure test coverage and maintain test documentation.
Contribute to QA process improvement and automation initiatives.
Stay updated on new testing trends, tools, and industry best practices.
Candidate Requirements
- Technical Skills
- Strong understanding of SDLC & STLC
- Hands-on experience with test planning, execution, and defect reporting
- Knowledge of various testing types (Functional, Regression, UAT, Performance, API, etc.)
- Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail, Bugzilla)
- Basic understanding of SQL, databases, and programming concepts
- Working knowledge of automation tools (optional but preferred)

Only Mumbai-based candidates
Preference for Western Line residents
Candidates must show job stability (no frequent job changes)
Candidates with 30 days notice period preferred
Immediate joiners highly encouraged

Education & Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Computer Science / IT / Software Engineering or related field
Relevant certifications (ISTQB, CSTE) highly preferred
Experience working in Agile environments is an added advantage
